Pulling Together Information On The Dixie Banjolele
The purpose of this blog is to collect and share information about the Dixie Banjolele, which was made in the 1940-50 era. The Dixie is made out of metal -- cast aluminum. I've tested it with a magnet, and nothing but the hardware attracts the magnet.

I've been considering purchasing a Dixie metal Banjo / Ukulele / Banjolele, but was concerned about being able to repair and adjust. Your posts are very clear, well written, and are complimented by helpful photography. This is THE resource for the Dixie.

I have one I believe but cannot be sure its a dixie brand and know absolutely nothing about it. Any tips would be fabulous! Can I post pics here?
